Roles and permissions

Step-by-step guides to create users, define role-based access and apply confidentiality best practices across your medical team.

Users and roles

Medical Center › Users

Create users

1
Enter the left sidebar menu.
2
Click on Medical Center.
3
Access the Users section.
4
Select the option to Add user.
5
Complete the required data for the new user.
6
Assign an available role.
7
Save the changes.

The user is enabled to access HCMedic according to the assigned role, so the medical, administrative or support team can be integrated in a controlled way.

Medical Center › Roles

Define access by role

1
Go to Medical Center › Roles.
2
Select an existing role or create a new one.
3
Access the Privileges option.
4
Check the modules and functions that will be enabled for that role, such as Schedule, Patients, Finance or Clinical Records.
5
Save the configuration.

Defining access by role ensures each user only sees the information needed for their function, optimizing operations and reinforcing data security.

Confidentiality best practices

Recommended practices

1
Assign minimum necessary access based on each user's actual function.
2
Limit access to Clinical Records exclusively to healthcare professionals.
3
Restrict access to Finance to authorized administrative staff.
4
Periodically review configured roles and privileges.
5
Avoid sharing credentials between users.

Proper role and permission management reinforces the confidentiality of clinical and administrative information, aligns with data protection principles and reduces operational risk within the medical center.
